MONITORING, EVALUATION & LEARNING

Measure what matters. Learn. Improve.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) helps connect programme intentions with evidence about implementation and outcomes. LearnGlobe aims to make its reporting clear about what was measured, who provided the information and what the evidence can—and cannot—show.

A practical MEL cycle

Indicators are agreed according to programme objectives, data availability, ethical considerations and reporting needs.

01

Define the intended change

Specify who the programme serves and the skills or opportunities it seeks to support.

02

Track implementation

Monitor agreed information such as enrolment, participation, completion and learning activities.

03

Assess learning

Use assessments, practical outputs, learner feedback or other agreed tools.

04

Review outcomes

Report what was observed while separating programme delivery from longer-term effects.

05

Use the learning

Identify improvements and feed findings into subsequent programme design.

Examples of indicators

Different programmes require different measures; no single metric explains the full impact of a learning initiative.

01

Access

Applications, eligible participants, sponsorship coverage and accessibility requests supported.

02

Engagement

Attendance, participation, platform use and completion.

03

Learning

Assessment results, project quality and self-reported confidence.

04

Next steps

Further study, portfolio development, career activity or employment outcomes where reliable follow-up is available.

Reporting with context

For learner surveys, LearnGlobe will identify that results are self-reported, show the sample or response count where known and avoid presenting them as verified employment outcomes unless that data has been collected and validated.
